Yes, this is a recorder, too
The evolution of the recorder
We'll play works by Palestrina, Bach, Mozart, Mendelssohn a.o. on a variety of different recorder types
Flautando Köln plays a wide range of instruments at every concert. From small to large, from high to low, angular, round, made of different woods: instruments with the most diverse historical ancestors from the Middle Ages to the immediate modern age. Not surprisingly, each member of this large family of instruments has its own peculiarities that sometimes do not immediately open up to the listener. In this program, Flautando Köln pairs the different types of recorders with appropriate works of the corresponding music-historical epoch, and in doing so, it turns out: the recorder is changeable and reinvents itself again and again.
